The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Mobile invites applications for a full-time instructor position in Biology to begin in the fall semester of 2012. A Master’s degree with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in Biology is required. The successful applicant would be expected to teach introductory Biology lecture and laboratory courses and contribute to the Center for Adult Programs curriculum by teaching at least one Biology night course a year. Additional opportunities for teaching during the summer semester are available but not required. Other responsibilities may include the academic advising of students and participation in both university and community service activities. We welcome applicants from a broad range of Biology disciplines to fill this position.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Consideration of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
