Music In Action

What is Music in Action?

The University of Mobile Music in Action Program provides a mentor-oriented intervention program designed for at-risk youth in Kindergarten through Grade 5. This program is designed to break the at-rick cycle through early intervention at the beginning of students' educational experiences, rather than later toward the end of their high school careers.

Purpose of Music in Action

The program's overall purpose is to mentor students through tutoring, recreational activities and music instruction to develop values of hard work and self worth. Students are awakened to their own talents and skills, thereby instilling the self-confidence which is then reinforced by their mentors.

Services Provided

The services that will be provided by the program include mentoring, tutoring services, vocal training and other musical and recreational activities. For more information, please contact the Music In Action Program Director.
