Under the direction of Dr. Patrick Jacobs, the Center for Performing Arts Opera Theatre contends every season for excellence in production and performance. From tragedy to comedy and from Puccini to Gilbert & Sullivan, the Opera Theatre provides a quality experience for students to test the limits of their artistry. With faculty that has experience on opera stages around the world, the productions are certain to draw in a packed house for every show. Past performances include: Mozart's "Magic FLute," Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Visitors," Gilbert & Sullivan's "Pirates of Penzance," Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi" and more. These shows are open to our student body and to the public.
At the Center for Performing Arts, we provide an artistic platform for students to broaden their musical perspective and to exercise their skills in a variety of different ways. We believe it is essential to provide a quality program for our students to get involved and apply their classical disciplines.
