University Missions

Each year, University of Mobile faculty members lead students, church groups and individuals overseas to share the Gospel through a variety of activities. In addition to gaining real-world experience, students may also earn college credit for University Missions trips.

University Missions Opportunities 2012-2013

All projects priced at $2,950/person except Thailand ($2,800).
Cost may increase depending on variables such as air fares at the time of purchase, etc.

Christmas/New Year 2012-2013

Thailand Dec 28-Jan 7. Student outreach on campuses; teaching English; holding Christmas parties; prayer evangelism around spiritual strongholds (temples, city gates, schools and government centers) in and around Chiang Mai. Team of 10 led by Dr. Cecil Taylor (CST credit).

Spring Break 2013

Czech Republic March 2-9. Teach English in primary schools (grade 1-9) and English clubs in Prague, building friendships with post-Communist Czechs. Team of 8 led by Dr. Doug Wilson (CST credit).

Summer 2013

Portugal May 13-23. Share the gospel and lead community activities in Cascais (Lisbon) and Viseu; light maintenance (mostly painting) at church and seminary; encourage church, especially the youth group, with preaching/teaching, testimonies and music. Team of 8 led by Dr. Jay Robertson (CST credit).

Guatemala May 25-June 1. Minister to children; light construction at Agua Viva orphanage in Chimaltenago. Team of 10 led by Dr. Robert Olsen (CST credit).

India May 19-28. Travel village to village in the state of Bihar to locate communities with broken water pumps or no pumps, record GPS coordinates and report on needed repairs and results of water sample tests for future water well crews. Team of 10 led by Dr. Brad Swiger (ES or CST credit).

Brazil June 7-17. Chapel construction, VBS, medical clinic, door to door evangelism, visit schools. Team led by Dr. Cecil Taylor (CST credit).

Romania July 10-20. Lead youth camp in Transylvania. Team of 10 led by Dr. Jeffrey Quiett (CST credit).
