Shirley Sutterfield has worked at the University of Mobile for 19 years. She received her B.S. degree in Organizational and Administrative Leadership and her M.A. degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, both from the University of Mobile. You can email Shirley at ssutterfield@umobile.edu.
Brooke Catchpole, University Counselor
A native of Mobile, Brooke returned home after earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Studies from Lee University in 2008 and her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University in 2010. She has served at the University of Mobile since July 2010.
As University Counselor, Brooke serves as a Masters Level Counselor to the Student Success Center. Brooke meets with students regarding relational, emotional, spiritual and academic counseling needs. In addition, she coordinates Freshman Seminar and is the SSC support contact for all freshmen.
Brooke’s top 5 strengths are: Belief, Strategic, Responsibility, Woo and Learner

Brenda Davis, Coordinator of Career Development
Brenda Davis received her B.S. degree in Speech and English Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. She received her M.A. degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Mobile.
As Coordinator of Career Development, Brenda meets with students and directs and leads on-campus career events and workshops. She is also responsible for the Job Board on MyUM and in Weaver Hall and assists students in finding full and part-time jobs.
Brenda’s top 5 strengths are: Positivity, Woo, Communication, Learner, and Maximizer.
