Early Enrollment Program

Who is eligible?

High school students who have not graduated from secondary school are eligible to apply for the Early Enrollment Program.

What is the Early Enrollment Program?

Get an early start on your college career this summer with freshman courses at the University of Mobile. Why not take advantage of our Early Enrollment Program for freshman classes such as English, finite math, western civilization, art appreciation, basic public speaking, microcomputer applications, or intermediate algebra? This program allows students to enroll in one college course tuition-free.* You may also opt to take additional courses at the special price of just $500 per course.

When?

Courses may be taken during the fall, spring or summer.

It's easy to experience college while you are in high school. All you have to do is:

  • Submit the Early Enrollment Application
  • Have a teacher, guidance counselor or principal at your school write your recommendation and send your official transcript and a copy of your ACT or SAT scores. The required minimum ACT is 21 with an unweighted grade point average of 2.75. (If you haven't taken the ACT, you can do so on June 19 by calling us at 251.442.2639.)
  • Schedule your registration and orientation with your personal UMobile enrollment counselor by calling 251.442.2639.

For more information, contact Cindy Burns, Student Relations Supervisor for Enrollment Services at 251.442.2639 or cindyb@umobile.edu.

*Limited spaces are available. Act quickly to take advantage of the Early Enrollment Program at the University of Mobile.
