MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 49-59 in non-conference action to Concordia College-Selma Friday evening at Pharr Gym. Mobile (3-7) will next play Southern Nazarene Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 4 pm in Bethany, Okla. Courtney Bayliss was Mobile's lone double-digit scorer, finishing with 11 points on 3-of-5 shooting from 3-point range. Next highest was Briana Edwards' 9-point effort.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team fell 45-62 at Xavier University-Louisiana in non-conference action Tuesday evening. Mobile (3-5, 1-3) will host Concordia College-Selma Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 pm. Nobody scored in double figures for the Rams, who were led by Brock Dockery's 9 points and 6 rebounds. Next was 8 points from Antonio Hester. Cordell Hadnot led Xavier with 10 points, while Denzell Erves added 8 points and 10 rebounds.

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released the 2011 Women's Soccer All-America teams Monday, and the University of Mobile had four student-athletes honored. Lorna Brownlie was tabbed a Third Team All-American, while Christy Lachappelle, Bekah Counce and Olivia Maddox earned Honorable Mention honors.

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The University of Mobile had four players named to the 2011 NAIA Men's Soccer All-America Teams, as announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Monday. Deshorn Brown was tabbed as a First-Team selection for the second-consecutive year, Chris Dillon and Stephen Okai were named Second Team All-America, and Michael Azira is an Honorable Mention selection.

MOBILE, Ala-- Alice Honnery's triple-double led Mobile to an 86-63 victory over Brenau University in SSAC women's basketball action Saturday afternoon at Pharr Gym. Mobile (3-6, 2-2) will next host Concordia-Selma Dec. 9 at 5:30 pm. Honnery recorded a career best performance in points and rebounds, and finished with 34 points, 23 boards, 11 blocks and 4 assists while shooting 14-of-20 from the floor.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 12th-ranked Shorter Hawks held off the University of Mobile 83-81 in Southern States Athletic Conference men's basketball action Saturday at Pharr Gym. Mobile (3-4, 1-3) visits Xavier Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 pm. Ji Kimbrough tallied a game-high 27 points for the Rams on 10-of-17 shooting, while Antonio Hester added 17 points and 9 rebounds and Brock Dockery finished with 15 points. Tyler Cole added 9 points off the bench on 3-of-4 shooting from 3-point range.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile used a dominant performance from Antonio Hester to cruise past Lee University 70-52 in Southern States Athletic Conference action Friday. Mobile (3-3, 1-2) will host 12th-ranked Shorter Saturday at 5 pm. Hester finished the game with 31 points and 16 rebounds, including 9 offensive boards, while shooting 10-of-15 from the floor and hitting 11-of-12 free throws. Christian Salinas was the only other Ram in double figures with 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 15th-ranked Lee University Lady Flames used a strong second half to take down the University of Mobile 76-58 in SSAC women's basketball action Friday evening at Pharr Gym. Mobile (2-6, 1-2) will host Brenau University Saturday at 3 pm. Alice Honnery had a tremendous all-around game for the Lady Rams, finishing with 13 points, 13 rebounds, 9 blocks and 7 assists to lead the team in each category. Morgan Melancon added 10 points for Mobile.

DECATUR, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team had four players named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Friday. Student-athletes are nominated by their institution's head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order to qualify for the honor.
