Joe Niland Gets Career Win No. 400 As Rams Beat Trinity

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team defeated Trinity Baptist College 55-50 Monday evening to give head coach Joe Niland his 400th career victory. This is Niland's 14th season at the University of Mobile, and 20th overall at the collegiate level. He boasts a 273-169 mark with the Rams and a 400-229 mark overall.

Lady Rams Fall To 19th-Ranked Faulkner Eagles

MOBILE, Ala-- The Lady Rams fell to 19th-ranked Faulkner University 46-70 thanks to a second half that saw the team shoot 26% from the floor and get outscored 36-17. Mobile (12-11, 7-6) hosts Trinity Baptist Monday at 5:30 pm in non-conference action. Deonica McCormick was the lone Lady Ram in double figures with 11 points, 4 assists and 4 steals, while Brittney Carter led a trio of Lady Eagles in double figures with 20 points and 16 boards.

Rams Fall To 16th-Ranked Faulkner University

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team fell 55-69 to 16th-ranked Faulkner University in Southern States Athletic Conference action Saturday. Mobile (12-10, 6-7) hosts Trinity Baptist Monday at 7:30 pm in non-conference action. Brandon Morris was the lone Ram in double figures with 23 points and 7 boards off the bench, while Julien Sargent added 8 points for Mobile.

Rams Open Season With 8-2 Victory

MOBILE, Ala-- A four-run 6th inning made Ryan Hines' 7-inning gem stand up, as the University of Mobile baseball team defeated Talladega College 8-2 to start the 2013 season. Hines (1-0) limited the Tornadoes to two runs on four hits in 7 innings of work, while fanning nine and walking only two. Jeff Price worked two innings of scoreless relief to finish out the game.
