MOBILE, Ala-- The 5th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team shut out conference foe and crosstown rival Spring Hill College 2-0 Saturday evening to cap the regular season. Mobile (15-2-1, 11-1) locks down the second seed in the SSAC standings and will host a team Saturday, Nov. 5 at a time to be determined to open the SSAC Tournament. The Lady Rams' defense held Spring Hill to only three shots and Lorna Brownlie made two saves in goal for the shutout victory.

Mobile (15-1-1, 10-1-1) takes home the 2011 Regular Season SSAC Championship and owns the top seed heading into the conference tournament. Mobile will host an unknown team at a time to be determined Saturday, Nov. 5 for an opening round contest.

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile volleyball team defeated Dillard 3-0 (25-22, 25-9, 25-22) in non-conference action Thursday evening. Mobile (23-11, 7-5) will host Loyola University Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 pm in a SSAC West matchup. Kiara Gay led Mobile with 14 kills and a .333 attack percentage, while Alison Kenney added 10 kills and 13 digs for a double-double.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team swept Faulkner University 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-20) in SSAC road action Tuesday evening. Kiara Gay hit .308 and led Mobile with 14 kills, while Sara Van Wert hit .368 with 8 kills. Katy McCollister led the way defensively with 19 digs, while Alison Kenney added 14 digs and Melody Tenney finished with 21 assists and 3 service aces.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 5th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team blanked 12th-ranked Auburn University-Montgomery 4-0 in Southern States Athletic Conference action Tuesday evening. The Rams scored first in the 3rd minute on an own goal by AUM, when goalkeeper Vignir Johannesson botched a Deshorn Brown ricochet into the net. The score stayed that way until the 80th minute, when Mobile finished the game with three quick goals.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 5th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team used a pair of goals from Christy Lachappelle to upend Southern States Athletic Conference rival Auburn University-Montgomery by a 3-1 score Tuesday. Mobile (14-2-1, 10-1) will host rival Spring Hill College Saturday at 5 pm.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team won the UMobile Fall Classic Tuesday at Heron Lakes CC. The Lady Rams fired a 95-over 671 (344, 327) at the 5,913-yard, par-72 course.Spring Hill finished 2nd with a 114-over 690 (342, 348) and Indiana Tech placed 3rd after shooting +134 (363, 347).

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team is only two strokes back after round one of the UMobile Fall Classic at Heron Lakes CC Monday. The Spring Hill College Badgers shot a 342 on day one, followed by Mobile at 344 and Indiana Tech at 363. Mobile's Ann Nahl is tied with Katie Callahan after shooting an opening-round 79. Avery Kyle is three strokes off the individual lead with an 82.

Mobile defeated Xavier 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-17) and took down Southern University at New Orleans 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-18). The Lady Rams (21-11, 6-5) visit SSAC foe Faulkner Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7 pm. Mobile out-hit Xavier .276 to .086 and finished with a 9-3 edge in service aces.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 4th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team defeated NCAA-II foe University of West Florida 1-0 Friday evening. Mobile (13-1-1, 8-1-1) will return to SSAC action Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7 pm when they host Auburn University-Montgomery. Neither team put on consistent pressure, with Xavier Audergon making three saves in goal in the shutout win for Mobile, and West Florida had two goalkeepers combine for only one save.
