MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team fell 69-73 to Southern States Athletic Conference foe Belhaven University Saturday evening.

Mobile (8-9, 4-4) visits Tougaloo College Monday at 7:30 pm.

Antonio Hester led the Rams with a game-high 30 points and 16 rebounds on 12-of-16 shooting, while Ji Kimbrough added 10 points for Mobile.

Daryl Arnold led Belhaven with 21 points, while Chris Cofield added 13.

Belhaven out shot Mobile 52% to 40% from the floor and went 23-of-28 from the charity stripe, compared to 14-of-22 for Mobile. Mobile turned the ball over only seven times.

The opening half saw the teams trading leads, until a 5-0 spurt gave Belhaven a 29-25 edge with 5:39 left. They held the lead from there and went into the break up 39-35.

In the second half, Mobile used a 10-2 run to turn a 42-43 deficit into a 52-45 edge thanks to seven points from Hester. With Mobile holding a 61-57 lead with 7:48 remaining, Belhaven used a 12-3 run to grab a 69-64 lead with 1:16 remaining. The Rams went 1-for-6 from the floor in that stretch. A three-point play from Hester cut it to 69-71 with 29 seconds left, and Mobile got the ball with 20 seconds to go after a missed free throw, but Kimbrough's scoop shot with 8 ticks remaining went in and out.
