FAIRHOPE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished in 7th place at the Faulkner State Community College Spring Invitational this week to open play in 2012.

The Rams carded a +51 627 (319, 308) at the Par-72, 6920 yard Rock Creek. Meridian CC won the tournament with a 15-over 591 (301, 290), finishing with the best score in each round.

SSAC rival Spring Hill College finished three strokes above UMobile with a 48-over 624 (311, 313).

Brent Hill paced the Rams by finishing in a tie for 18th with a 10-over 154 (81, 73). Zach Day finished at 12-over 156 (83, 73), Laile Stagner shot a 16-over 160 (82, 78), Josh Ball shot an 18-over 162 (78, 84) and Patrick Kelley finished at 18-over 162 (78, 84).
