Crusaders Top 25th-Ranked Lady Rams

 

MOBILE, Ala-- The 25th-ranked University of Mobile women's tennis team fell 3-6 at home to William Carey University in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action Thursday.
 
Mobile (5-2, 2-2) host Belhaven University and Tougaloo College Saturday, March 13 at 9 am and 1 pm, respectively.
 
William Carey took No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to grab a 2-1 lead heading into singles play, and then grabbed closely-contested wins at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 5 singles to set up victory.
 
Zelie Pfeiffer won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Jordin Wiggins won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6 singles for Mobile. Claudia Borges - Nancy Machen won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles for the Lady Rams.
