HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile baseball team defeated William Carey 9-5 in 11 innings Sunday to take the SSAC series 2-1.

Mobile (10-13, 5-7) will host Oklahoma Wesleyan for a single game Wednesday at 2 pm.

Josh Blaylock grabbed the win for Mobile with 4 innings of 2-hit shutout relief. The righty struck out 7 and walked 1. Blake Hanson started for Mobile and limited the Crusaders to 1 run on 1 hit in 6 innings of mound work.

Freshman Braxton Hamil went 4-for-6 at the dish with a homer, two doubles and 4 RBI, Ryne Phillips went 4-for-6 with 2 doubles and 1 RBI and Ryan Waltman finished 2-for-6 with 1 homer and 3 RBI. Cameron White added a pair of hits for the Rams.
