Spring Hill Upsets #19 Mobile

 

MOBILE, Ala. – The 19th-ranked University of Mobile women's tennis team fell to rival Spring Hill College 4-5 at the C
 
opeland-Cox Tennis Center Tuesday afternoon in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action. Spring Hill is receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25.
 
The Lady Badgers led 2-1 after the doubles matches with wins on Courts No. 1 and 2 and then split the singles matches 3-3 to hang on for the 5-4 win.  In singles, the Rams took Courts Nos. 1, 2 & 3, but the Badgers took Nos. 4, 5 & 6.
 
Mobile (3-1, 1-1) next plays at Stillman College Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 3 pm.
