Rams Score 11 Runs On 20 Hits To Beat UNO

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile baseball team went on the road to stomp non-conference foe University of New Orleans 11-1 Tuesday evening.

Mobile (19-19, 10-11) hosts SSAC foe Faulkner University for a three-game series this weekend, beginning with a single game Friday at 2 pm and concludes with a twin bill Saturday at 1 pm.

The Rams pounded out 11 runs on 20 hits, while a trio of UMobile pitchers held the Privateers to 1 run on 8 hits. Ten different Rams recorded a hit and six of those hitters had multi-hit games.

Ryan Parazine finished 3-for-6 with a homerun, Brady King went 3-for-6 with 3 RBI, Braxton Hamil finished 3-for-5 with 2 RBI, Parker Hollinghead finished 3-for-5 and Josh Blaylock went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI. Justin Beck added a pair of hits and two runs.

Corey Fountain limited the Privateers to 1 run on 6 hits in 7 innings of work to pick up the win. The lefty fanned 5 and walked a pair.

Mobile jumped out to a 6-0 lead through 3.5 innings before UNO got on the board, and the Rams capped the game with two runs apiece in the 7th and 8th innings.

Parazine put Mobile on the board with a solo homer to right in the 2nd, and King singled home Hollinghead in the 3rd to make it 2-0.

In the 4th, UMobile put the game away with 4 runs on 5 hits. Cameron White started the scoring in the frame with a RBI-single and Blaylock provided the big blow with a 2-out, 2-run triple.
