JACKSON, Miss-- The 15th-ranked Belhaven University Blazers defeated the University of Mobile 8-1 in Southern States Athletic Conference men's tennis action Saturday.

Mobile (6-4, 2-2) is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top-25 poll and will next compete at the 2012 SSAC Tournament April 19-21 at Lagoon Park in Montgomery, Ala.

Fernando Paiva and Karlis Stonis put up a battle before falling 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, but the Blazers took the other two doubles matches by a combined 16-2 margin.

Karlis Stonis picked up the Rams' lone point at No. 1 singles, pulling out a 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 victory.
