MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile's Ann Kathrin Nahl and Abbie Harris were honored by the Southern States Athletic Conference Thursday, with the release of the 2012 SSAC postseason awards.
Nahl, a sophomore from Waeschenbeuren, Germany was named the team's Musco Lighting Champions of Character recipient, All-Conference and All-Academic. Harris was named to the All-Tournament Team.
In ten tournaments during the 2011-12 season, Nahl placed in the Top-10 in five of them, winning one and placing 3rd in another.
Harris, a senior from Decatur, Ala., posted five Top-6 finishes in 11 tournaments this season. She finished 2nd twice and shot a 16-over 160 (82, 78) to finish in a tie for 6th at the 2012 SSAC Championship.
As a team, UMobile placed in the Top-3 in seven tournaments, including a 3rd-place finish to wrap the year at the 2012 SSAC Championship.
