Lady Rams Fall To Rival Badgers 3-6

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's tennis team fell 3-6 to Spring Hill Wednesday to close out the 2012 season.

Spring Hill (9-5, 2-2) earns the host bid to the 2012 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship over the Lady Rams (8-7, 1-3). The tournament takes place at the Mobile Tennis Center May 15-19.

The Lady Rams dropped all three doubles matches and could not recover. Stephanie Tomita, Marcela Abrantes and Ambria Phillips earned wins at the top three singles slots, but the Badgers swept No. 4-6. Tomita won 6-2, 6-4, Abrantes rallied 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 and Phillips won 6-3, 7-5.
