MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's soccer program has announced its 2012 recruiting class. Head Coach Brian Person has added ten student-athletes to the team, as UMobile looks to get back to the Round of 8, and further, at the NAIA National Championship. Players listed below with comments from Person on each recruit.
Kali Carver – Freshman – Hurley, MS – East Central HS – Gulf Coast United Club Team
Kali is a technically clean player that has a great work rate and good size. I look forward to her competing for time in our midfield.
LaTesha Fleming – Freshman – Jackson, MS – Ridgeland HS – MS Fire Club Team
LaTesha is a very athletic forward that we expect to contribute right away.
Tori McKenzie – Freshman – Semmes, AL - Mary G. Montgomery HS – Mobile Soccer Club
Tori is a versatile player that can play as a defender or a GK. I look for Tori to provide needed depth at both positions.
Sarah Duren – Freshman – Wilmer, AL – Mary G. Montgomery HS – Mobile Soccer Club
Sarah will come to UM and provide depth as a defender and as a forward. Her work rate and athleticism will figure her into the equation early in the year.
Emma Isaacson – Freshman - Auburn, AL - Lee–Scott Academy – Auburn Thunder Club Team
Emma is a defender that is coming to UM with a great work rate and who is not afraid to play physically. As she develops she will be a great addition to our defenders.
Rebecca Wynne – Freshman - Auburn, AL – Auburn HS – CFC Redstar Club Team
I look for Rebecca to come in and compete at the GK spot right away. She is very athletic and has a great work rate.
Paige Brackin – Freshman - Semmes, AL – Faith Academy – Mobile Soccer Club
Paige is an athletic, hard working defender that can also play in the midfield. I look forward to seeing her compete right away.
Katie Compton – Freshman - Pell City, AL – Pell City HS – Birmingham United Soccer Association (BUSA)
Katie comes to us with a good playing background with a good club. She will bring experience along with her good size and athletic ability. She will factor in at the forward position.
Brittany Bradford – Transfer – Junior from Santiago Canyon CC (California) - La Palma, CA
Brittany will bring skill and experience to our midfield. Coming from a very good CC team she will help to maintain our high standards on the filed.
Monique Martinez – Transfer – Junior from Fresno City College (California) - Clovis, CA
Monique is a very skillful player that is also bringing experience from a very good CC. I look for her to contribute both at the forward and midfield spots from the start.
