PRATTVILLE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team opened the 2012-13 season by placing 3rd at the Alabama State University Fall Golf Classic Monday.

The Lady Rams carded a two-round 138-over 714 (354, 360), while Alabama State won it with a 72-over 648 (326, 322).

Haley Mize led the Lady Rams with a 5th place finish, firing a +23 167 (80, 87). ASU's Jenelle Kraakman won top individual honors with a 13-over 157 (79, 78).

Devin Pigford finished in an 8th-place tie with a 31-over 175 (87, 88), Alex Moore placed 17th with a 41-over 185 (91, 94), Emily Blount shot a 43-over 187 (96, 91) and Kylee Schone finished with a +56 200 (101, 99) for the Lady Rams.

Mobile will next compete at the Coastal Georgia Invitational at Sea Island Sept. 16-18.
