CLEVELAND, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished in 3rd place at the Derrall Foreman Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The Rams sat in 4th after Friday's opening 18 holes, and managed to move up on the leaderboard Saturday, finishing the tournament at +3 579 (292, 287). Union University won the tournament with a 34-under 542 (270, 272), while Delta State finished 2nd at 16-under 560 (281, 279).
Zach Day followed up Friday's 2-under 70 with a 3-under 69 to finish 5th overall with a 5-under 139 (70, 69) to pace the Rams.
Chase Blan tied for 9th at 2-under 142 (69, 73), Viktor Cedersjo finished 20th at +3 147 (74, 73), Josh Ball finished 7-over 151 (79, 72) and Michael Abram finished the two-round event with a 14-over 158 (80, 78).
Union's Brett Barry won top individual honors with a 14-under 130 (63, 67).
Mobile will next participate in Emmanuel University's Tournament Sept. 23-25 at Currahee Club.
