CLEVELAND, Tenn-- The 14th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team took down Southern States Athletic Conference foe Lee University 2-0 in road action Saturday evening.
Mobile (5-2-1, 1-1) hosts Southern Wesleyan Friday, Sept. 28 at 6 pm.
The Rams out shot Lee 17-8, but Lee held a 6-5 edge in shots on target. But, they were kept off the scoreboard as Elijah Gibson made six saves to pick up the shutout victory for the Rams.
Mobile's offense, meanwhile, found the back of the net once a half to pick up the win. The first goal came in the 11th minute, when Gunnar Steindorsson scored on a laser shot from 35 yards out.
With the game nearing completion, Stephen Okai capped the scoring, when he received a cross from Gaetan Massiah and hammered it home in the 83rd minute.
