MT. VERNON, Ga-- The 19th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team blanked Brewton-Parker 5-0 in Southern States Athletic Conference action Saturday.
Mobile (10-3-1, 6-2) visits 5th-ranked Belhaven Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 pm.
The Rams out shot the Barons 22-12 and held a 15-4 edge in shots on target.
Alvaro Pichardo started the game with a goal in the 23rd minute to make it 1-0 Mobile, and Pierre Mangold followed nine minutes later with an unassisted tally to send the teams into halftime with Mobile ahead 2-0.
The Rams kept the scoring up in the final period, with three different Rams taking turn scoring.
Stephen Okai started with a goal in the 61st minute, Daniel Spell followed with a tally off a pass from Gunnar Steindrosson in the 65th minute, and Steindorsson finished the game with a goal of his own in the 79th minute.
Xavier Audergon went the distance in goal for the Rams and made four saves.
