MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team closed out the regular season with a 3-1 (21-25, 25-12, 25-23, 25-15) non-conference win over Dillard University Monday.

Mobile (24-11) will next play at the 2012 SSAC Tournament Nov. 8-10 in Montgomery, Ala., as the No. 8 seed. Mobile will face Lee University Thursday at 10 am and Emmanuel at 3 pm.

Kiara Gay led the Lady Rams with 16 kills, while Tayler Houseknecht put down 11 kills and hit .318 and Bailey Nations finished with 10 kills. Reagin Boggs finished with 49 assists, while Nicole Armstrong led with 13 digs.

Mobile out hit Dillard .179 to .028 and finished with a 10-6 edge in service aces.

The Lady Rams held a 21-20 lead in the opening set, but the Lady Bleu Devils finished it off with a 5-0 run thanks to three Mobile errors.

The second set was all Mobile, as the Lady Rams started with a 4-0 run, and then added two 5-0 runs later in the set to push the lead to 22-7. Rachel Barber was at the service line for two of the runs.

Mobile trailed 19-14 in the 3rd set, but answered with a 6-0 run thanks to a trio of Dillard errors. Nations finished off the set with a kill.

The final set again saw Mobile take control early with three 4-0 runs in the team's first 16 points to make it 16-5.
