MOBILE, Ala-- A four-run 6th inning made Ryan Hines' 7-inning gem stand up, as the University of Mobile baseball team defeated Talladega College 8-2 to start the 2013 season.
Hines (1-0) limited the Tornadoes to two runs on four hits in 7 innings of work, while fanning nine and walking only two. Jeff Price worked two innings of scoreless relief to finish out the game.
In the 6th inning, with the Rams clinging to a 2-0 lead, the team tallied four runs on two hits, with help from a pair of Talladega errors. A wild pitch and a RBI-double from Philip McDuffie ended the scoring for the Rams.
