KANSAS CITY, Mo.-- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released the NAIA Top 25 polls for the spring sports, and the University of Mobile has a couple of teams ranked.
The UM women's tennis team is ranked 23rd in the latest NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll after receiving votes last week.
Mobile received 108 points in the poll, nine behind 22nd-ranked Biola University (Calif.) and 21 more than 24th-ranked Westmont College (Calif.).
Fellow GCAC schools Xavier (19), William Carey (20) and Spring Hill (25) are also ranked in the poll. Mobile is 11-3 on the season and coming off a 5-4 victory over NCAA II Montevallo.
In the NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the UM softball team is ranked 25th with 146 points. Mobile is 17 points behind 24th-ranked Martin Methodist College.
Belhaven is ranked 7th and William Carey is ranked 14th. The Lady Rams host William Carey Wednesday, April 7 at 4 pm for a doubleheader. Mobile is 26-13 overall.
