Lady Rams Earn SSAC Honors

MOBILE, Ala-- The Southern States Athletic Conference released the year-end women's basketball awards, and the University of Mobile was well-represented.

Deonica McCormick was tabbed as an All-Conference selection, Briana Edwards was named All-Division, Molly Speed was named All-Freshman and Courtney Bayliss, Lauren Bethly, Leana Tajkov and Judi Vigneulle were earned All-Academic honors. Vigneulle was the team's Champions of Character honoree.

McCormick has played in 28 games, averaging 29.8 minutes and 14.4 points to go with a team-high 29 blocks, 137 assists and 72 steals.

Edwards has started 28 of 30 games, averaging 12.6 points and 6.2 boards while shooting 48% from the field and finishing with 44 steals.

Speed has played in 21 games, averaging 19.8 minutes, 7.5 points and 2 rebounds while hitting a team-high 42 3-pointers.
