UMobile Men Drop First Match To No. 6 William Carey

MOBILE, Ala-- The 6th-ranked William Carey University men's tennis team defeated the University of Mobile 8-1 in Southern States Athletic Conference action Wednesday.

Mobile (8-1, 2-1) next plays Rust College in Jackson, Miss., March 22 at 4 pm.

Marcio Dal Pont and Santiago Quiros put up a battle at No. 2 doubles, but ended up falling 6-8 as the Crusaders took a 3-0 lead to start things off.

Every singles match was close, though Guilherme Arcaro took home the lone win for Mobile, winning at No. 6 7-5, 6-4. Dal Pont fell 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 8-10 at No. 4.
