MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's golf team announced the addition of three players for the 2009-10 season.
Joining a team with a good core of returning players will be Christopher Collier, Jake Dishman and Leland Dunning. The players are expected to push and add to the returning golfers as the Rams seek to return to the national tournament.
"We had a rebuilding year last year, and we are looking forward to the upcoming season and seeing what these incoming players can do to compliment the returning players," Mobile Head Coach Colby Odom said.
The Rams have been to the NAIA National Tournament 22 out of 24 seasons, and won it all in 1997. That winning tradition helps lure players to Mobile.
"I picked Mobile because I wanted to attend a school that has an opportunity to win a national championship," Collier said.
Collier prepped at Alma Bryant and was the Mobile County Champion in 2007. The transfer student will major in communications. Dishman is a business administration major who prepped at Pelham, while Dunning is also a business administration major who prepped at St. Patrick Catholic High School.
