NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team fell in the semifinals at the 2010 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Friday at the University of New Orleans Tennis Center.

The Rams started the day by defeating Tougaloo College 5-0, and then fell to William Carey 5-1 in the semifinals. Mobile ends the season with a 10-5 record and will await word from the NAIA to see if it gets the host bid to the 2010 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship May 18-22 at the Copeland-Cox Center.

In the opening-round victory over Tougaloo, Ricky Weghorst, Gustavo Godoi, Jesus Urmeneta, Saulo Litterio and Ryan Ogborn won in singles play without dropping a game.

Against the Crusaders of William Carey, Ricky Weghorst picked up the only win for Mobile at No. 1 singles.
