Lady Rams To Open Nationals Versus Lewis-Clark State May 18

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released the bracket for the 30th Annual NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship Tuesday, and the University of Mobile will open versus Lewis-Clark State (Idaho).

The tournament will take place May 18-22 at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.

The Lady Rams (17-5) are making their 6th-consecutive trip to nationals and 17th trip overall, while Lewis-Clark State is making its 14th-straight trip and 17th overall.

The Warriors finished the season with a 6-12 record and No. 16 ranking in the NAIA Top-25, while the Lady Rams are ranked 21st.

Last season, LCS defeated Indiana Wesleyan 8-1 in the opening round of nationals and then fell 5-0 to top-seed Auburn-Montgomery. The Lady Rams fell 7-2 to Northwood (Fla.).

Mobile fell in the GCAC Semifinals to William Carey, but won four straight prior to that and 9-of-10. The Lewis-Clark State women have lost five straight, last winning March 27 versus College of Idaho.
