MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile announced the addition of Lindsay Taylor to the Junior Varsity Volleyball program.
Taylor comes from Clay-Chalkville High School and offers versatility as a defensive specialist and outside hitter. She was named Team Captain in high school in 2009.
She has played four years for Team Sting and one year for AAU 17 and under. She was a two-time team captain for Team Sting and won the Sting Award in 2009.
The Birmingham native chose the University of Mobile because she feels the school will help her succeed on and off the court.
"I chose Mobile because I love the campus and I believe I can get an excellent education," Taylor said. "I'm excited about playing volleyball at UM because I know I will learn a lot and they will help me succeed."
Both coaches are happy to have Lindsay for the start of the second season of JV volleyball. “Lindsay is joining the program at a great time. She will provide a boost with her ability to play six rotations, and her club experience will pay off as she competes for a starting role.”
