Women's Soccer Opener Moved To Spring Hill

MOBILE, Ala-- Due to heavy rains over the past week, the University of Mobile women's soccer team will open up the 2010 season at Spring Hill College Monday, Aug. 23 at 5 pm.

The game was originally scheduled to be at UMobile at 7 pm, but the playing field was made unplayable by the recent wet weather. The Lady Rams and Badgers moved to the Southern States Athletic Conference this season, but this contest will be a non-conference matchup.

The Lady Badgers went 8-9-1 in 2009 and return 10-of-11 starters, while Mobile finished the 2009 season with a 10-10-1 mark and return 7-of-11 starters.

Mobile beat the Lady Badgers 1-0 in the teams' only meeting last season.

Leading the way for Mobile offensively are Missy Stovall (15 goals and 2 assists) and Christy Lachappelle (7 goals and 8 assists). Defensively, the Lady Rams return Anna Maddox, Louise Arseneault and Ashley Lachappelle.
