PULASKI, Tenn-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team battled 6th-ranked Martin Methodist College to a 1-1 double-overtime tie in road action Thursday evening.
Mobile moves to 1-0-1 on the year and will visit top-ranked Lee University Aug. 28 at 7 pm.
Defense ruled the game, as the teams combined for only 11 shots, with Martin Methodist holding a 7-4 advantage in that area. The teams also combined for only five corner kicks as the goalkeepers were not asked to do much.
Mobile's Lorna Brownlie grabbed three saves in 110 minutes of play, while Martin Methodist's Hanit Schwarz made one save.
The Lady Rams struck first as Missy Stovall took a feed from Kelsie Ruff and found the back of the net in the 27th minute. But, 11 minutes later, Mor Efraim tied it up for Martin Methodist with the assist coming from Tatiane Alexio.
