MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team improved to 2-0-1 on the season by blanking Milligan College 3-0 at Auburn-Montgomery's Captial City Classic Saturday.
The Rams' defense held strong all game and the offense scored early and late to pick up the victory. Jason Williams collected a three-save shutout in goal for Mobile and the UM defenders held Milligan to only seven shot attempts.
On the other hand, the Mobile offense took 20 shots in the game, putting seven on target.
Eoin Dolan started the scoring in just the game's 2nd minute when he put a feed from Deshorn Brown into the back of the net.
The game stayed 1-0 in favor of Mobile for the next 68 minutes, when Brown tacked on a goal, with the assist going to Bernardo Zamora. Stephen Okai added an unassisted goal in the 76th minute to cap the scoring.
Mobile hosts Northwood University Friday, Sept. 10 at 3 pm.
