MOBILE, Ala-- Spring Hill College defeated the University of Mobile 3-1 (25-16, 25-18, 16-25, 25-15) in Southern States Athletic Conference action Tuesday evening at Pharr Gym.

Yiting Cao led the Lady Badgers with 16 kills and added 4 aces, 10 digs and 3 blocks from the outside. She hit .262. Sha Sha Buchanan hit .444 and put down 9 kills, while Meredith Donald finished with a team-high 18 digs. Taryn Nash added 32 assists, 5 kills and 7 digs.

Senior Kelly Sherling led Mobile with 12 kills, while Alyson Kovacs hit .471 and finished with 9 kills for the Lady Rams. Melody Tenney added a double-double of 17 assists and 11 digs, while Christa Hicks finished with 16 digs for Mobile. Disah Kolassiba added 7 kills and 3 blocks.

Mobile (0-1) heads to Montgomery Friday-Saturday for the SSAC Cross-Over Tournament. The Lady Rams open with Brenau University at 4:30 pm. Spring Hill moves to 2-0.
