Lady Rams Ranked No. 17 In NAIA Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released the first regular season edition of the 2010 NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25, and the University of Mobile women climbed from receiving votes to No. 17.

The Lady Rams are 2-2-1 on the season and earned 298 points, one shy of 16th-ranked Simon Fraser University and 13 more than 18th-place Oklahoma City University.

Mobile has faced a potent schedule early, with the two victories being a double-overtime win over Spring Hill to start the season and a 5-0 win over Brenau.

They battled 5th-ranked Martin Methodist to a 1-1 tie, fell 0-2 to 3rd-ranked Lee University and dropped an overtime decision to 14th-ranked Embry-Riddle.

Lee University, William Carey, Auburn-Montgomery and Faulkner all represent the SSAC in the Top 25 or receiving votes.

Mobile hosts Northwood University Friday at 1 pm. Northwood is receiving 68 points in the poll.
