MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's cross country team finished 5th at the University of South Alabama's Azalea City Classic Saturday morning.

The 5k meet was held at the Gulf Pines Golf Course. West Florida won the meet with a time of 1:19:53.71 and 32 points, while South Alabama finished at 1:19:56.47 and 37 points in 2nd place.

The Rams' top five runners clocked in with a combined time of 1:39:27.76 and 153 points.

Ryne Pulliam and Mark Meadows led the way for Mobile with a 35th and 36th place finish, respectively. Pulliam clocked in at 18:48.27, followed by Meadows at 18:55.73. They finished 6th and 7th among non-NCAA affiliates in the meet.

Chase Amerson finished at 19:59.63, good enough for No. 40, while Zach Gaines finished two spots back with a time of 20:14.69.

Jeffrey Caviness (46) finished at 21:29.44, Dominique Hector (49) finished at 24:18.10, Jay Fincher (50) finished at 24:32.85 and Nick Weaver (55) finished at 26:26.34 for the Rams.
