CLINTON, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's cross country team placed 2nd among Non-Division I teams at the Choctaw Open Saturday.

The Rams finished ahead of SSAC schools William Carey and Belhaven in the 4-mile run with a time of 2:07:02.39 and 69 points. Mississippi College finished 1st with a time of 1:52:43.26 and 15 points.

Mark Meadows led the Rams by clocking in at 24:29.40 to finish 9th, while Zach Gaines finished 16th with a time of 25:11.47 for Mobile.

Ryne Pulliam slotted one spot behind Gaines with a time of 25:21.25 and Chase Amerson finished 19th at 25:49.79.

Stephen Ferguson clocked in at 26:10.48 to finish 21st, while Dominique Hector finished at 31:26.47 and John Fincher finished at 31:26.81.
