NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile volleyball team swept Xavier University 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-20) in non-conference action Thursday evening.

Mobile (15-12, 5-1) visits Loyola University in SSAC West Division action Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 7 pm. Mobile and Spring Hill are tied at the top of the SSAC West Division standings with 5-1 marks. The Lady Rams will visit Spring Hill Thursday, Nov. 4 at 7 pm.

The Lady Rams pounded out 41 kills as a team and hit .242, including a .536 mark in the second set.

Kelly Sherling led Mobile with 17 kills, Katie Dowd added 7 and Erica Rath finished with 6.

Melody Tenney led the team with 20 assists and 8 digs, while Katy McCollister added 8 digs for Mobile.

Mobile served up 15 aces in the game, led by 5 from Charlotte Stutts, who also kicked in 7 digs. Shea McBee led the Lady Rams with 3 blocks.
