MOBILE, Ala-- The 14th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer bounced visiting Southern Wesleyan University 2-0 in SSAC Tournament action Saturday evening.
Mobile (11-5-1, 4-1) advances to the SSAC Semifinals Thursday, Nov. 11 in Gulfport, Miss., with opponent and time to be announced.
Kassie Ruff tallied the game-winner for the Lady Rams with an unassisted goal in the 21st minute.
Meanwhile, the Mobile defense dominated, holding the Lady Warriors to 4 shots, with only 2 being put on goal. Lorna Brownlie was up to the challenge on those shots, finishing with a pair of saves in the shutout victory. Mobile put 11 shots on target, while taking 21 overall.
Brianna Simmons capped the scoring with a goal in the 60th minute.
Both Simmons and Ruff now sit at six goals apiece for the season.
