William Carey attempted 45 more free throws than Mobile and made 30 more. The Crusaders' Terry Wade matched the Rams' production from the charity stripe by himself, hitting 19 free throws on his way to scoring a game-high 33 points. During the game, seven Rams fouled out, including all five starters.

 

The Crusaders scored the first eight points of the fourth and final OT period before the Rams finally got on the board with a Marcus Polnett jumper to make it 93-87 with 1:48 left. But, William Carey's Brandon Cooks answered the scores with a dunk of his own to take the lead back to eight, and the Crusaders hit four free throws down the stretch to ice it.

 

Donte Walker tallied 27 points for the Rams, who end the season with a 17-11 record. Brock Dockery added 18 points, Polnett finished with 11 and Ben Healey added 9 points and 11 rebounds. Treii Pace finished with 7 points and 15 boards for the Rams.

 

The Crusaders controlled the majority of the opening half after the Rams took a 2-0 lead 35 seconds in on a bucket from Matthew Turner. Turner added a free throw with 18:21 left for a 3-2 Mobile lead, but Cory Smith's dunk 13 seconds later gave William Carey a 4-3 lead and the Crusaders would not trail in the half, building a 33-27 lead at intermission.

 

William Carey controlled the first 13-plus minutes of the second half, until Donte Walker's jumper gave the Rams their first lead since that early 3-2 advantage (53-51). The Crusaders took the lead back and held a 65-63 lead with 14 seconds to go, but Mobile's Ben Healey sank a 3-pointer with 5 seconds left to put the Rams ahead 66-65. But, Cory Smith sank a free throw with three seconds left for the Crusaders to tie it at 66-66 and force overtime.

 

In the first overtime period, the Crusaders scored first and never trailed, building a 74-70 lead on a Smith jumper with 34 seconds left. Brock Dockery sank a pair of free throws for the Rams to cut it to two points, and then Ji Kimbrough got his first bucket of the game, a jumper to force a second OT period with seven ticks on the clock.

 

Mobile again trailed for the majority of the second overtime period until Marcus Polnett sank a pair of free throws with 1:26 left to knot the game at 80-80. William Carey missed a pair of 3's and Walker's jumper with 2 seconds left was blocked by Brandon Cooks to force a 3rd OT period. Over the final 2:25, Mobile hit 4-4 from the free throw line, while William Carey's Cooks missed a pair of freebies at the 1:56 mark.

 

In the 3rd OT, Brock Dockery gave the Rams a 5-point lead on a pair of free throws and a 3-pointer with 3:43 to go, but the Rams missed their other three shots of the half and William Carey's Terry Wade went 5-of-6 from the charity stripe to force a 4th OT period with the score at 85-85.
