MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team won its 4th-straight game Monday, blowing out visiting Trinity Baptist College 76-36 in non-conference action.
Mobile (4-1) travels to Lee University Friday, Nov. 19 at 7 pm.
Donte Walker led the Rams with 16 points, Ji Kimbrough added 14 and Brock Dockery finished with 10 for the Rams. Zack Potter was the lone Eagle in double figures with 11 points, while the next highest total was only 6.
The Rams controlled the boards 47-32 and built a 22-9 edge in offensive rebounds. The stingy Mobile defense, meanwhile, forced 29 turnovers and limited the visitors to a paltry 26% effort from the floor.
Mobile shot 42% from the floor and hit 4-of-13 from 3-point range.
The Rams started out a little slow in the opening half, but after nursing a 16-12 lead with 7:28 left, Mobile went on a 15-2 run over the next 4:38, capped by a steal and a free throw from Jason Sanchez. Kimbrough poured in 7 points during the surge.
After heading into the break with a 19-point lead, Spencer Duke opened the 2nd half with a 3-ball to put Mobile up 22, and the Rams never led by less than 22 the rest of the way.
