CLEVELAND, Tenn-- The 7th-ranked Lee University Lady Flames defeated the University of Mobile Lady Rams 70-60 in NAIA women's basketball action Friday.

Morgan Crawford led Mobile with 13 points, while Adrienne Mackay added 10. Alice Honnery chipped in with 6 points and 15 rebounds. Brooke McKinnon led Lee with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Lee forced 21 Mobile turnovers and out shot the Lady Rams 40% to 37% from the floor. In the second half, both teams shot 41% and scored 35 points, but the Lady Rams could not come back from a first half hole of 10 points.

In that opening period, Lee hit 6-of-16 from 3-point range to build the lead.

It took Mobile 6:17 to get on the board in the first half, when Crawford scored to make it 2-7. Mobile continued playing from behind, trailing by as many as 14 points in the half. Mobile pulled within 13-10 with 11:41 left, but Lee answered with a 13-2 run, before taking the 10-point lead into the half.

In the second half, Mobile just could not make it a one possession game. Crosby Morrsion hit a pair of free throws at the 6:21 mark to pull the Lady Rams within six at 48-54, but Lee answered by scoring seven of the next ten points, with Hollie German scoring all seven of them.
