NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile women's basketball fell 65-85 at Loyola University in SSAC West action Thursday evening.

Mobile (12-7, 3-3) will visit William Carey University Saturday at 5 pm.

Morgan Melancon led Mobile with 18 points thanks to 5-of-6 shooting from 3-point range, Adrienne Mackay added 12 points and 11 boards, and Anna Maddox finished with 10 points for the Lady Rams.

Keiva Council led Loyola with 26 points, while Jasmine Brewer added 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting.

Mobile out shot Loyola 53% to 44% from the field, but the Lady Rams went only 2-of-10 from the free throw line for the game, compared to 18-of-22 for Loyola. Mobile also turned the ball over 27 times, while the Wolfpack committed only 12 turnovers.

The Lady Rams were able to tie the game to start the 2nd half, but Loyola answered with eight unanswered points and went up by 11. Mobile fought back to within six points with 8:44 left, but the Wolfpack closed out the game with a 27-13 scoring edge.
