MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team closed out the regular season with a 71-69 double-overtime victory over Loyola University to clinch the SSAC West Saturday.

Mobile (15-13, 8-4) will next play at the 2011 SSAC Tournament in Rome, GA.

Donte Walker led the Rams with 16 points in his final game at Pharr Gym, Brock Dockery added 13 points and 15 rebounds and Ji Kimbrough tallied 12 points and 5 assists off the bench.

Loyola's Corey Gray led all scorers with 21 points, while Ryan Brock added 19 on 5-of-20 shooting from the field.

Mobile shot 36% from the floor and 55% (16-29) from the FT line, while Loyola hit 33% overall and 71% (20-28) from the charity stripe.

The second half saw the Rams use a 13-5 run to grab a 47-39 lead with 12:57 remaining. The continued to lead until Loyola used a rare 5-point play with 3:41 left to take a 57-53 lead. Corey Gray sank a 3-ball and Richard Kohnke was fouled during the shot, leading to a pair of freebies. They stretched the lead to 59-53 with 2:58 left before the Rams started to answer. A Dockery putback brought the Rams within 57-59 and after Tommy Stangl hit only 1-of-2 FT's for the Wolfpack, Walker sank the game-tying 3-pointer with 33 seconds left to send the game to OT.

In the first OT, the Rams took advantage of a couple of turnovers to build an early 64-60 lead with 3:26 left, but they went 0-5 from the field and 0-2 from the free throw line the rest of the way to allow Loyola to tie it on when Brock grabbed his teammate's miss and put it back in just before the horn sounded.

In the final extra frame, the teams traded leads three times early until the Wolfpack held a 69-67 advantage with 50 ticks left on Brock's free throws. Seventeen seconds later, Kimbrough drove the lane and dished the ball back out to Dockery who sank the winning 3-pointer from well-beyond the arc. That gave Mobile a 70-69 lead and after Dockery went 1-2 from the charity stripe, the Wolfpack's Cameron Cates came up empty on a drive to the hoop.
