MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's golf team is in 2nd place, five strokes behind Spring Hill after round one of the Spring Hill Badger Intercollegiate at Spring Hill College Golf Course Monday.

The Rams carded a +15 303, while the Badgers sit at 10-over 298 with the final round looming Tuesday at 8 am.

Faulkner State CC sits in 3rd at 16-over 304, Lindenwood (A) is next at 18-over 306 and William Carey sits in striking distance with an opening round 311.

Alejandro Salcedo paced the Rams on day one with a 2-over 74, while 2010 GCAC Individual Champion Jacob Morgan carded a 3-over 75. Patrick Kelley and Leeland Dunning each shot 77's, Laile Stagner turned in a 6-over 78 and Brent Hill, competing as an individual, fired a 4-over 76.
