UMobile Men's Basketball Players Earn Conference Honors

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team had five players honored by the Southern States Athletic Conference for their performance on and off the court in 2010-11.

Senior guard Donte Walker was named to the All-Conference team after leading Mobile with 14.9 points per game, while starting all 29 contests. He also grabbed 5.4 rebounds per game and led the team with 45 steals. He was also named All-Conference in 2009-10 when the Rams competed in the GCAC. He finishes his career at Mobile ranked 4th all-time with 1,422 points and 6th all-time with 581 career rebounds.

Mobile native Ji Kimbrough was named to the All-West Division Team after averaging 14 points per game. He scored 393 points on the season and went over 20 points eight times on the year.

Junior guard Spencer Duke was the Rams' representative on the Musco Lighting Champion of Character team. The Pinson Valley native averaged 4.9 points per game in 29 starts and dished out a team-high 66 assists, finishing with a positive assist:turnover ratio.

Guards Marcus Polnett and Christian Salinas were named to the All-Academic Team. Salinas is a HPES major from Perth, Australia, while Polnett is an accounting major who has played in 52 games in two seasons with the Rams.
