In the 5th, momentum shifted to Shorter, as the Hawks put up 3 runs thanks to Houston's 2-run blast before tacking on 4 more in the 6th thanks to a pair of Mobile errors.

The Rams rallied, getting a pair of runs in the 7th thanks to 4 Shorter miscues, to head into the 9th down 12-10. With only 1 out, the Rams loaded the bases, but Doty induced a grounder to get the force at home and then made the play on a slow roller for the final out.
