CALERA, Ala-- Maegan Rice finished in a tie for 1st and the University of Mobile women's golf team finished in 4th place at the Ann Rhoads Shootout at Timberline Golf Course Monday.
The Lady Rams finished at 113-over 681 (339, 342), while University of West Florida won the event with an 87-over 655 (328, 327).
Rice tied Montevallo's Emily Gibson with a 7-over 149 (79, 70) for 1st place. Her final round 1-under 70 was the best round of the tournament.
Abbie Harris finished tied for 15th with a 28-over 170 (84, 86), Taylor Kirby finished tied for 21st with a 33-over 175 (86, 89), Taylor Lee finished tied for 35th with a 45-over 187 (90, 97) and Mandy Eads finished with a 60-over 202 (104, 98).
Day One: Lady Rams In 4th After Round One
CALERA, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team is in 4th place at Birmingham-Southern College's Ann Rhoads Classic after one round of action Sunday at Timberline Golf Club. The tournament will wrap up with the final round on Monday.
The University of West Florida is in the top spot with a 44-over 328, while the Lady Rams are in 4th, 11 strokes back, with a 55-over 339.
Maegan Rice leads Mobile with a 79 to sit in a tie for 4th with West Florida's Jenny Lines. BSC's Ashley Lovell leads the way with a 74. Abbie Harris carded an 84, Taylor Kirby shot an 86, Taylor Lee finished with a 90 and Mandy Eads shot a 104.
